The ʻEwa Beach Drive-In is a non-profit cinema owned and operated by the youth; a venue where young entrepreneurs build agency in their community, creatively malama ʻāina, and leave the world better than they got it. Our mission is to give youth work they love, resources to develop innovative ventures, and space to share passion for film.

Wesley Alan Adkins is a proud mathematics teacher at James Campbell High School. He believes in culturally responsive pedagogy, dreaming big, and Nā Hopena A‘o. This first generation graduate cut his teeth on cinema at the University of California Santa Cruz. A film scholar, world traveler, inclusion educator, doting father; the gentleman wears many hats. Looking back on his plight, Wesley credits a relentless love for film when asked how he overcame so many life obstacles.
